About Laura Faeo

 

  Ms. Faeo has had a lifelong interest in Art, particularly pottery, painting and illustration, beginning as a small child making clay animals to the delight of her friends.

  She has extensive experience in a variety of media, including watercolor, goache, pen and ink, pencil, oil, acrylic, scratchboard, airbrush, photography, etching, handbuilt and wheel-thrown pottery, and clay sculpture. 

  She has recently added metal sculpture to her repertoire, as a certified welder of aluminum, steel and other metals.

  She is also a naturalist and writer, having contributed articles on local issues and wildlife to the Anchorage Daily News. She writes a weekly art column for the Peninsula Clarion.

  She enjoys fishing, camping, gardening and reading.

  Ms. Faeo lives in a log cabin in Nikiski, Alaska, with a cage full of lively budgie birds.

  She has recently completed a pottery and welding shop next to her home.
