A collection of works, past &

present

I admit, I'm nuts about crafting ceramic objects.

But I also do pen-and-ink sketches, intuitive drawings, pets from photographs, and more serious acrylic works of art, some of which have been featured in local art shows.

Here's a sampling of my work, some recent, some old, some one-of-kind and sold.

Maybe you see something here you'd like to buy, order or have done in a certain way?  Let me know what you think.

Laughing Bear

Laughing Bear

One-of-kind crafted ceramic. The details of fur, teeth, nose and paws are remarkable. 6 1/2" high, 3 pounds. My engineer father uses his as a paperweight.

Camp Robbers

Camp Robbers

Cabins in the Alaskan wilderness are often left vacant when the weather turns cold. Here are two little thieves looking for a way to steal some food behind that window.

Dream Meadow

Dream Meadow

I often have dreams like this, full of imagery of dogs, butterflies, moonlight, vikings, trees and more. Then I just have to capture my memory in acrylic.

Persian Pet

Persian Pet

I enjoy painting animals from a photograph. Send me a snapshot of your pet and I'll render a color painting of him or her for you.

My Snow Queen

My Snow Queen

The Snow Queen is a Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale. Here's my vision of this proud beauty, having tamed our wild Alaskan polar bear.

Canadian Geese

Canadian Geese

I did this watercolor as a teenager at a Pennsylvania summer camp. While my friends were splashing in a swimming pool, I was studying these wonderful creatures in a nearby pond.

Mug with feet

Mug with feet

I've crafted many of these coffee mugs, taking care that each one can stand on its own two feet. Unlike certain members of your family, who shall be unnamed here.

Home

Home

A tangled path in life takes us from our childhood home, but there's always a way back. Pen-and-ink drawing.

YinYang Sunlight

YinYang Sunlight

I'm not a scientific person, so I'm entitled to believe that our sun is powered by the energy of YinYang. Acrylic painting.

Pot Ugly

Pot Ugly

Who says pottery must be beautiful? This should prove them all wrong.

An intuitive drawing

An intuitive drawing

I can render a colored pencil sketch, like this one, in a half hour's personal consultation with you. Here, I felt my client was recovering from a broken relationship, like a Phoenix rising from the embers of a fire.
